If it is not on the side of the distributor, then it is most likely between the firewalls.
Check on the passenger side inside the vent cover that is around the wiper. It is attached to a heat-sync that is held with two nuts located on the engine side of the firewall.

To change the ignition control module you have to change out the computer. It is located behind the motor on the passenger side of the engine compartment. Look for a screw holding in a wiring plug with a dozen or so wires. The drivetrain control module has a couple of nuts holding it in place and looks like a cdrom when removed. Good luck. John
