it is with all the other fuses under the dash to the right of the steering wheel there is a little door that you pull open to expose all the fuses and relays
The fuse for power windows on my 1995 Golf Cabrio is Fuse 14 (10A) and is labelled Backup Lights (yes, backup lights) on the fuse panel.
Possible F19 in engineroom driverside.
The number 7 fuse is for the back up lights on a 2000 WV Golf. This fuse also runs the speedometer and vehicle speed sensor.
Under dash on drivers side. You have to remove the panel that covers the fuse box.
it should be fuse #19 (green 30amp fuse) in the fuse box located under the dash board on the driver side.
i replaced a brake light bulb in my 2001 golf now none ofthe brake lights are working ! i can not tell which fuse is the one for the brake lights ! please help ?
should be in the fuse panel under the dash on the drivers side or in the glove box. if the light isn't working make sure you replace the bulb with the correct one, if you use a single filament bulb and its supposed to be a dual filament bulb your lights wont work properly.
your bulb is faulty- replace it
Buy the same rated fuse pull out the broken fuse and replace with new fuse job done. The fuse box is under the drivers side of the dash. (Don't forget the fuses under the hood!!)
1. Unhook positive battery cable. 2. Find a spot and mount lights. 3. find a spot for a toggle switch on the dash. 4. run the wire coming off the back of the light to a toggle switch on the dash. 5. run another wire from an inline fuse to the other prong on the switch. 6. make sure the fuse is no further than a foot from the batter for best results. 7. Hook fused wire to possitive cable and connect back to battery. 8. test lights!!!
As far as I've seen across the last range of citi golf with the new dash, it is on the passengers side on a black plate above the cubby
Check the bulbs, fuse & brake light switch on the pedal.
