The 1997 VW Jetta air conditioning condenser drain hose can be found on the bottom of the air conditioner compressor. The drain hose will direct condensation to the bottom of the engine compartment.
Define 1997 Jetta: GL, GT, TDI, GLS or GLX model?
I had this problem on a 97 Jetta. There is a U shaped cut out in the insulation on the firewall and when you lift it up, there should be a rubber piece attached to the metal of the firewall. It feels like a plug but there is a flap that you can lift up to allow the water to drain. There was a rubber band in mine that caused it to plug.
There probably isn't one. Remove the bottom hose, to drain.
The drain plug is on the bottom of the radiator. It is on the opposite side from the bottom hose.
If you can't find drain plug, just disconnect lower radiator hose.
On a 96, it is on the passenger side under dash and pokes through firewall.
What do you mean? The heat is fine in my 97 volkswagen jetta.
Should be at the bottom or rear of the radiator or remove the lower radiator hose
on the firewall on the bottom of the truck on the right side there's a black hose that it comes from.
