Orthoclase feldspar is a tectosilicate mineral which is most commonly found in igneous rock. It has a Mohs hardness of 6 and has two cleavage planes which occur at right angles to each other. It is the potassium endmember of the feldspar group of minerals and is also referred to as alkali feldspar or K-spar. Orthoclase will appear in colors from white to deep pink, but has a white streak.
Orthoclase feldspar can be found in granite rock as the white or pinkish appearing crystals.
Orthoclase rocks are white or colored monoclinic feldspars, hard crystalline aluminum silicates of potassium, sodium, calcium or barium.
Due to the movement of plates in the Earth's crust, orthoclase could be mined anywhere. I have found some orthoclases in Gatlinburg, Tenessee
Orthoclase is a mineral.
yes,orthoclase is a silicate mineral
pyroxene
Orthoclase comes in as 6 on Mohs scale of mineral hardness:- Talc, Gypsum, Calcite, Fluorite, Apatite, Orthoclase, Quartz, Topaz, Corundum, Diamond;
Depending on the variety, feldspars can range from adamantine to glassy in luster.
mineral
The mineral orthoclase is found all over the world. It can also be found in Granite rock. It would be the pink or white crystals in it.

Adularia is a form of orthoclase feldspar, a mineral which forms igneous rock, found in white prismatic crystals.
Orthoclase feldspar is 6 on the Mohs scale of mineral hardness.

Rhyolite is a rock, not a mineral. Common minerals in it are quartz, orthoclase, and albite. The chief elements in rhyolite are silicon, oxygen, aluminum, sodium, and potassium with other elements in small amounts.
