Where is fuse located for lighter in 2002 Rav4?
There are 2 fuse boxes in Rav4s (that's how it is in my 2002 Rav4). One is under the hood on the right hand side, the other is located behind the compartment where your left knee touches when you drive. The one that controls the lighter is located behind the compartment where your left knee touches when you drive. Onur Diker.

under the dash on the drivers side
Answer . \nI would invest in a manual...and check to see if there are any pieces of metal(foil) in the lighter sockets..this can cause them to blow..\n. \ndave
Answer . When you open the passenger front door you will see the fuse compartment on the side of the dash. When you remove the compartment door you will see a large singl…e row of fuses and some small fuses in 5 rows.. In the second row of the small fuses 3 slots down from the top is a 20 amp fuse. This 20 amp fuse is the one that controls the cigarette lighter, DIC, and the front auxiliary power controls. It is the CIGAR/DIC/APO FRT slot of the fuse compartment.
It is fuse number 70, a 15 amp (blue) fuse found in the fuse box under the hood on the driver's side.
The fuse box by the driver side door on side that says PARK LP.
If it's not in the fuse box, then could be under the driver side left dash area.
I don't know if it's the same as on my 1999, but I used the http://dodge.justanswer.com/ service, and received this response: http://dodge.justanswer.com/questions/14l93-cigar…ette-lighter. I ! elyse
OPEN THE GLOVE APARTMENT, AND THERE SHOULD BE TWO LATCHES THAT PULL DOWN TO SHOW THE FUSE PANEL
Underneath the dash on the drivers side. You must remove the plastic panel underneath the steering wheel to access the fuse box .
It is the fuse cluster on the left side of the drivers side below the steering wheel. It is a 20 amp fuse, but if the fuse is good there is also a solder point that acts as a …fusable link on the bottom of the cig lighter. If the fuse is good and they still dont work, then you will have to pull them out and pinch the little copper piece with a needle nose and use a lighter to heat it up and it will be as good as new.
\n . \nthe fuse box for this is located in the boot next to the battery under the lift out panel fuse #5 slot i think . Mar 2013 -- Yes, that's exactly where it was (cigar l…ighter fuse) on my friend's Jaguar XJ here in Germany...slot 5 in the trunk, under the panel. NOT in the glove compartment or under the dash -- those were dead ends on my model, which i believe is a 2003. You have to squint real hard, but the trunk slots ARE numbered -- the numbers are quite small and just molded into the casing. Bottom row, 5th from the right. I put in a 25 amp fuse (which was what was already there) so it won't blow so easily. Now I can use my GPS system here in beautiful Germany!!! WOW! What a relief. As on most cars, the cigarette lighter has no power unless the ignition is switched on. .
In my 2002 LX I found it to be the 20A fuse in the fuse compartment inside by the driverside door. in the owners manual it is listed as "DISCRIP: #2 (H/CLN) - PROTECTED COMPON…ENT For protection of various circuits." The top row second in. If this isn't it get a pair of pliers and gently pull the fuses- one at a time- and see if they are burnt out.
There is a second fuse box on the driver's side of the dash board. Open the driver's door all the way and look where the door met the left side of the instrument console. Ther…e is a finger hole to pull the panel off. Cigarette lighter fuse is #17.
The # 3 fuse is a 20 amp fuse for the cigarette lighter , OBD II Scan Tool Connector ( in the fuse panel below and to the left of the steering wheel , by the brake pedal )
In Chevy Malibu
In junction Box, located under the dash panel (left side).
