I always use 'William Whitaker's Words' whenever I am away from my Latin dictionary. I have provided a link to it in the proper section.
Flat answer - there is no such thing. They are all essentially worthless for anything. None of the translators for Latin online give anything close to a decent translation going either way. There are too many instances where you must know the context before choosing one of the four or five possible word choices. Other problems seem to arise from the high degree of inflection in Latin - the translators just do not seem to get case and number right, and the verbs are just as bad, especially the subjunctive. Seems like the translators assume all is indicative, first person singular, present. This is probably compounded by Latin's lack of fixed word order.

The net result is you get a bunch of nouns and verbs that may or may not be in context, and you still don't know who did what with which to whom when.

If you're looking for an online dictionary to translate single words, William Whitaker's Words is quite good, although you're better off downloading a verson to run locally rather than using any of the online hosted sites, which can be buggy. (See related links below.)

If you're looking to translate whole phrases or sentences, the best site is one where there are live people who have studied the language and are willing to put in the necessary time to get the translation right. At all costs avoid the automatic translation sites, which mostly produce meaningless, ungrammatical garbage. (Even if they come up first in Google.)

The Usenet newsgroup alt.language.latin has actual Latin scholars in residence, as does the WordReference Latin forum.
