Peptone is the hydrolysis of protein. Hydrolysis is nothing but the digestion of protein into free amino acid and peptides..so, protein takes from any of plant or animal and the protein are hydrolysis.the hydrolysis are carried out by 3 types-acid alkali and enzymes.peptones are rich in nitrogen source and used in the cell culture for the proliferation of cell and production.
