The lynx lives in high altitude forests with a cover of shrubs, reeds, and tall grass. They are found in Europe, Asia, and North America.

Not all lynx live in high forests. The bobcat, Lynx Rufus, is at home in flatlands like swamps, deserts, prairies, and temperate zone forests.

Lynx, like most larger cats, live in the wild, in dens that the female essentially commandeers, then pads with moss, tree leaves and other soft materials, in tree stumps, shallow caves and in other naturally protected spaces, or in some abandoned or infrequently used man-made structure.

Assuming that you are speaking about the Canada Lynx, ", the Canada lynx is present mainly in boreal forests of Canada and Alaska."

"Climate in the taiga [other word for boreal forest] is cold, with average annual temperatures from about +5° to -5° C "

So yeah, pretty cold :D.

Hope this helps!
