Fumiko Ishioka is the director of the Holocaust Center in Tokyo, Japan. She received Hana's suitcase from the Auschwitz museum. She did further research and found some of her drawings from when she was in Theresienstadt. Fumiko then found out that Hana had a brother, George Brady, that survived the war. They got together and spoke about Hana. George answered every question that Fumiko and the group "Little Wings" had. In her suitcase, Hana had put her favorite doll, some clothing, imperishable foods, family pictures & souvenirs, drawings & books. The suitcase went all around Japan and was visited by 52 000 children. Hana had taught children to be respectful, compassionate & tolerant. Her story should never be forgotten because it ended in such a terrible & cruel way at such a young age.
Hana's suitcase, found by Fumiko Ishioka wasn't the real suitcase, but was a fake.
Nobody really knows; when Fumiko Ishioka received it from the Aushwitz-Birkenau Memorial she received a child's shoe, a sock, and a canister of Zylkon B, along with the suitcase. The suitcase itself was empty.

Yes George Brady is still alive. I have met him myself actually. I met him at the Caird hall in Dundee when they held the ' Speak Out Speak Up' event. It was a very sad event. The Japanese woman who held the investigation is called Fumiko Ishioka. Fumiko came along with George. It was a day I shall never forget. The story of Hana is very sad. When George found out that the suitcase Fumiko had was a fake he was very upset. The real suitcase was burnt in a fire. I Hope That This Answer Has Helped!
