His musical education started early in his life within the family. His father tought him to play violine and harpsicord. Furthermore were all his uncles organists or court chamber musicians. His uncle Johann Christoph Bach introduced him into the art of playing the organ. After loosing his parents aged 10 was living with his brother where he received valuable teaching by being introduced to the clavicord. At the age of 14 he received a scholarship with the St. Michael's School in Lüneburg.
Johann Sebastian Bach learnt how to play the organ, harpsichord and violin from his father and uncles, who were famous musicians. His father was Johann Ambrosius Bach, and his one of his uncles was Johann Christoph Bach, a very famous organist. His brother, also Johann Christoph Bach, taught him the clavichord when he was 10+ years old.
He studied his first intrument with home studies. When his mother died he moved to his older brother which he continued music studies at home. When he grew older, he went to St. Michael's School in Lüneburg.
I dont think Bach got any training. I'm pretty sure he learnt everything by ear.
