can you see were its leaking from, and what is it leaking and how fast? no, cant see where its leaking from, just that the underside of the engine looks wet. i takes about an hour for the reservoir to empty.
could be radiator,,when water is circulating,,it slows the leak down,my money would be that
Typical causes of a compressor not running are: low coolant, blown fuse in compressor circuit, bad compressor, bad temperature sensor.
with engine at running, and at running temperature, carefully remove radiator cap then have some one else rev engine ,doesnt need to be full speed. while engine is being run at higher revs, look in radiator to see if there is movement of the coolant.if no movement then water pump is not working also check under car for coolant leaking on to ground check water pump for loose bearings and for weep hole leakage if weep hole is leaking, replace pump
Heater core is possible, coolant could be leaking externally onto engine and giving off that smell. Ruptured, cracked or leaking bypass hose; Ruptured, cracked or leaking heater hose; Worn or damaged radiator cap; Rusted, corroded, or damaged radiator may be leaking antifreeze/coolant; Loose, damaged, or faulty radiator drain plug; Worn or damaged cooling fan motor or circuit; Thermostat stuck closed; Cracked or leaking water outlet/hose; Damaged, worn or leaking water pump; Leaking or defective heater control valve; Freeze plugs are cracked or leaking. to smell burning anti freeze it would need to be leaking onto engine. most likely a small leak in a coolant hose somewhere, and even if it is heater core , it is sure not going to cost 500 bucks a heater core doesnt even cost 100 bucks to buy and they are easy to install
So long as there is water coming through the pump when it is running it doesnt matter what the water level in the pool is.
DBAF doesnt exist
If it continues loosing coolant eventually it will start running hot. Without knowing the Make/Model/Year of the vehicle, I'll take a wild guess and say the leak is at the coolant recovery tank or the hose going from the radiator [just below the radiator cap] over to the coolant recovery tank. Untill you find the problem *check* your coolant--running an engine hot can be VERY expensive! Also, check the coolant ****ONLY*** when the engine is COLD [like it hasn't been driven all night]. NEVER check coolant when the engine is hot! Good luck with it and be carefull. Remember, better SAFE than sorry...
Because it doesnt want to.
Could be trickling down from thermostat housing or hea gasket could be shot and the timing cover gasket may be blown out enough for coolant to come out but not oil, check the viscosity of the oil and make sure it doesnt have any coolant in it, if it does do the head gaskets, if not check that the thermostat housing gasket is good, if all that checks out to be okay try to find the little eye on the water pump to see if that's leaking and if that is do the water pump. Check the water pump gasket while your at it too.
An Spirit engine doesnt use any spacific type of coolant, as long as its a 50/50 mix.
When ever he feels like coming and if he doesnt come oh well
Low coolant? Defective thermostat? Heater core plugged, restricted, or air bound Water pump not circulating coolant?
there is supposed to be 5 books that doesnt answer the question
