The glasses distributed to movie-goers for a 3D film are not dark enough to view
a solar eclipse. They are only for combining the images that the film duplicates
onto the movie screen.
DO NOT USE 3D GLASSES TO LOOK AT THE SUN. YOU WILL BE BLINDED!
Sometimes, a planetarium will sell eclipse glasses, which are black plastic lenses
in a cardboard frame. These are safe, but they are specifically made for the purpose
of protecting your retinas from the power of the sun. Don't try to jerry-rig anything
in substitute. You will be hurt.
Sunglasses, CDs or DVDs, even a regular welder's helmet is not enough to protect you.
#14 Welders glass can be used, but you have to purchase that, of course, specially.
Either have the special eclipse glasses, which should be so dark that while
wearing them you can see nothing other than the sun, or make an indirect
pin-hole projector to see the image of the sun.
Don't look at the sun. It will irrevocably damage your eyes.
Yes, you can.

yah. pretty similar shape. i have looked at a solar eclipse before and it was so cool! :D p.s. never look directly at a solar eclipse, it will burn your cornea and make you blind :(
Not any that I know of
Potential blindness

Swirly-twirly kaleidoscope glasses. Like the "POP OLIVE" glasses that Lady Gaga has.
Welder's goggles are suitable for watching a solar eclipse. If you don't have any welder's goggles, then you can easily build an "indirect eclipse viewer".
