usually right behind or somewhere near the thermostat housing.
were is the cooling temperature sensor located on my 96 Plymouth grand voyager
There is 2 coolant sensors. 1 is for the temperature gauge and the other is for the computer to tell it what fuel mixture is needed.
The sensor is the Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor, located under the EGR, on the side of the engine between the engine and the battery. Brass sensors can be bought at the dealer.
The coolant temperature sensor on a 1997 Lincoln Continental is located on top of the engine, near the upper radiator hose. It constantly relays the engine's temperature to the computer.
Which engine do you have?
The 1997 Chevrolet Camaro 3.8 liter engine coolant temperature sending unit can be found on the front of the engine. The coolant temperature sending unit will be approximately 3 inches above the thermostat housing.
It is located in the bottom of coolant bottle.
There are two separate sensors that play here. the "coolant temperature sensor" and "coolant LEVEL sensor". I suggest confirming which of these was replaced, as it is very common for them to be confused. likely you will find the coolant sensor that was replaced was the one on the engine (temperature); The LEVEL sensor is mounted either in the coolant resivoir or in the radiator. Probably just need the proper sensor replaced.
the engine coolant temperature senson is located just below the throttle body on the front of the engine
it is threaded into the thermostate housing.
The coolant temp sensor is located next to the thermostat housing.
because you need coolant.
