The toothpaste cap & shampoo flip top cap mould making is a question about the difficulty of how to make their top flip cap automatic closed and the closing must be 100%. Besides this difficulty, we are need to make the toothpaste cap mould or shampoo cap mould unscrewing out the screw thread by the moulding. After the unscrewing, then use stripper plate or tubular ejectors to push the cap out from the mould. In the same time, we need to keep the moulds high speed injection.

In 2010 year, Sino Packaging Mould Co has successfully made a toothpaste cap mold with 32 cavities the mould function:

  • unscrewing ejection
  • injection molding with hot runner system
  • the top flip was closed completely on the mould
  • the top flip matching with the cap main body well
  • all the cavities, cores and the same components in the mould are interchangeable
  • with the cycle time 12 seconds

To make the toothpaste cap mould or shampoo top flip cap mould, we need very precise machining and correct machining process. The moulds need correct mechanical design. Hot runner system need the injection force and distances exactly even.

Annually, Sino Package Mould are producing more than 300 sets of various flip top cap moulds for shampoo, toothpaste or other cosmetic containers. The mould life can be 10M shots guaranteed and the quality service and be 5 years free of charges.

The Product manufacturing is started with moulding the handles. To mould the handles you 1st get some plastic and shape it into pellets. The pellets are then placed in an injection moulding machine, which heats the plastic until it is melted. A rotating screw or plunger then forces the liquid plastic into the handle moulds. The moulds form the entire handle, including the small holes, called cores, where the bristles are inserted later in the production stage. The moulds are then securely clamped, pressure is then applied to the moulds while the plastic cools. Once the moulds have cooled, the clamps are removed, and small pins push the handles out of the moulds. The bristles, which are normally made out of nylon, are then automatically positioned into the core of the handle and stapled into position by small metal staples. The next stage is then to trim the bristles by using a trimming machine which slices the bristles to the correct length and shape. The finished toothbrushes are then set of to be package and then shipped to shops to be sold.
