It will be revived (as of December 26, 2015), which means the following changes will be given to several radio station formats from all of the 50 U.S. states. Here's a list of changes being given:

  • All "Soft Rock" and "Lite" stations from across America will replace the adult contemporary music format with a grand revival of the soft adult contemporary music format with approx. 3,000 love songs and hot adult contemporary ballads from the 1960s through the 2000s, plus more love songs and hot adult contemporary ballads from this decade.
  • All "Oldies" and "Classic Hits" stations from across America will be combined into one new format, the new "Classic Hits" format (which will play almost entirely 1964-1990 R&B, pop, and Rock Music with several pre-'64 oldies and pre-'95 classic hits being added, marking as a grand total of approx. 3,200 songs being played).
  • All urban oldies radio stations from across America will be revived, playing almost entirely R&B, funk, soul and Motown hits from the 1960s through the 2000s, plus more rhythmic urban hits from this decade.
  • Most AM radio stations and some FM radio stations with hits from the big band and swing era from the 1920s through the 1950s will be revived as a format called "Big Band & Swing", but in addition to these songs, will also play songs from the big band revival as well as songs that are jazz standards from the '50s and '60s.
  • All hot adult contemporary stations will play almost entirely R&B, pop and rock music from the 1980s through the present, just like the newly-upgraded "Adult Hits" format.
  • Among other radio station formats to name a few, mostly with changes being given.

Will America's radio and television advertising industry get revived?

Yes, of course it will! America's radio and television advertising industry is finally getting revived in January 1, 2016. The fact is that all products, either food or non-food, as well as events and numerous others, will have commercials shown on television and radio, mostly existing, formerly discontinued, and just newly heard and/or shown nationwide. Even local radio stations and local TV stations everywhere nationwide will include products, events, and other commercials from each local area in the United States. It is definitely going to happen at the end of 2015 (and beginning of 2016). News will be reported and sources will be given very soon, according to some of the staff each from "Los Angeles Times" (Los Angeles, California, USA) and "New York Times" (New York, New York, USA).
