Jordan River: November 1981

Timpanogos: October 1996

Vernal: November 1997

Monticello: July 1998

Draper: March 2009

Oquirrh Mountain: August 2009

Brigham City: September 2012

Payson: under construction, completion expected in 2015

This depends on which temple you are referring to. There are temples of several different religious groups located in Utah, including Jews, Hindus, Muslims, and the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (the "Mormon" church).

There are 13 Mormon temples currently operating in the state of Utah with two more under construction. They are:

St. George (built 1871-1875)

Logan (built 1877-1884)

Manti (built 1877-1888)

Salt Lake (built 1853-1893)

Ogden (built 1969-1972)

Provo (built 1969-1972)

Jordan River (built 1979-1981)

Bountiful (built 1992-1995)

Mount Timpanogos (built 1992-1995)

Vernal (built 1995-1997)

Monticello (built 1997-1998)

Draper (built 2006-2009)

Oquirrh Mountain (built 2006-2009)

Brigham City (construction began in summer 2010)

Payson (construction to begin in early 2011)

Jewish temples include:

Temple Har Shalom (built 2008)

Congregation Brith Sholem (built 1921)

Bais Menachem/Chabad Lubavitch (built 1992)

Chavurah B'Yachad (

There is one Sikh Temple in Utah, which is located in a previous business building renovated in 2001 to be used as a temple.

There is also a large Masonic Temple in Salt Lake City, built 1925-1927.
