Yes and still does. Quakers got pretty much everywhere and many places still have some Quakers around somewhere although they are often few in numbers.
Contrary to popular belief the Quakers did not like the government, or anyone else that did not agree with their belief, not the other way around.

As I understand it there are 350,000 Quakers worldwide and only about 118,000 of those live in the United States. With the research I have done I believe most of them would be in or around Pennsylvania (This may be in-accurate).
