It is a myth that the Great Wall of China can be seen from space. There are no man-made features on Earth that are visible with the naked eye from the Space Shuttle's windows.
On the night-side of Earth, of course, it's a different story; you can't see individual lights, but the vast swath of lighted cities is easily visible.
The only exception is reservoirs. You cannot see the dams themselves, but the larger lakes are visible.
It depends on how far away you are looking from, but it will look blue and white from space.
