Earlier, on June 14,1922, a speech of President Warren Harding which had been recorded on a disk, was broadcast on commercial radio. Woodrow Wilsonin 1919 made some remarks from shore to sailors on some US navy ships at sea via a military radio- the first time a President spoke on the radio.
