You do not need to replace the timing chain because there is no timing belt at all on Ford Taurus. It has a timing chain.
It has a timing chain that should last the life of the engine.
It does not have a timing belt, it has a chain.
Only the 1999 Ford Taurus SHO has a timing belt. The engine is built by Yamaha and NO it is not an interference engine. Replace the belt at 100,000 miles. All other Ford Taurus's have timing chains.
Less then 60,000km
The 1999 Ford Taurus does not have a timing belt. It has a chain that requires no maintenance.
In a 1999 Ford Taurus : The 3.0 liter " Vulcan " V6 engine has ( 1 timing CHAIN ) The 3.0 " Duratec " has ( 1 timing chain to each cylinder head , so there are 2 timing CHAINS )
I need diagrams for both the timing marks and timing diagram for 1999 Ford Taurus 3.0 Vin S DOHC
It has a chain and not a timing belt. No maintenance required.
90k miles.
i dont think they have a timing belt they have a timing chain its like this on a 525 1998 so not sure tho
I just replaced mine at about 95,000 miles.
Timing chains will normally last the life of the engine and are replaced during a complete engine rebuild.
