When the puppy is at about two months old.
If it's available and the puppies are started on mashed wet dogfood at 10 days I've had them eating, by their choice, mom's dry food at 3 weeks. But that should not be depended on as their only source of food. Puppies still nursing should be fed twice a day. Puppies weaned from mom need to be fed three times a day until they are 3 or more months old.

∙ 13y agoWhen all teeth are in or by 4 weeks you can start giving them puppy food soaked in water MASH up with a fork to make it lose, they will walk in it and make a mess but dog mom will clean everyone up an the mess they make on the floor or pen or where you have them.
