No, it makes no difference. The selection of red and black "hot" wires on your 220 line is arbitrary.

What is the difference between tombolo from the peninsula?

I am not entirely sure, but I think it may have to do with the connecting mass. Tombolos are usually connected by a sandbar, which is more prone to geographical effects and can be more effected by waves and tides. Peninsulas are connected by more "solid" land masses such as solid ground that are not as prone to being shifted around. Also, peninsulas have to be connected to a mainland, whereas tombolos can be connected to other islands as well as a mainland.

How can you tell if the ground wire is approriately bonded to the neutral and the cabinet at the service box?

Ground wire can be appropriately bonded to the neutral and cabinet at the service box by connecting the neutral and ground wires from the feeder wires to the neutral bus bar and the ground terminal located on the same cabinet at the service box. White wire (neutral) must be connected to bus bar and bare wire must be connected to ground terminal in the same cabinet.

Does the ground wire on a 200 amp panel need to be looped through both ground rods?

Not looped but connected to both ground rods and then connected to the meter base.

What is Grounding of an RV electrical system?

Connecting the ground wire to the metal chassis of the vehicle.

How do you know what wire is ground on 200 amp service?

On a 200 amp or any size service the ground wire is easily identified. Look in the distribution panel for the neutral bus bar. This is where the service neutral (white wire) is connected to the distribution panel. There you will see a bare copper wire connected to the same neutral bar. This is the ground wire that is connected to the ground rods out side of the house.

What is the advantage of connecting the outer conductor of a coaxial cable to ground?

To prevent the outer conductor, or shield, from radiating, it is connected to electrical ground, keeping it at a constant potential.

Why is the pressure on ground more when a men is walking than when a men is standing?

The difference is dynamic pressure vs. static pressure.

How do you bypass grounding an indash DVD receiver to the e brake in a 1997 Chevy Tahoe?

the wire needs ground to function. Connecting it to the ebrake allows it to ground so just connect the video wire to any ground and it will function as if it was connected to the ebrake

What is the difference between in the ground and on the ground?

In simplest terms, an above ground pool is built the handle the water pressure exerted from the inside but not the pressure of the ground around the outside. It takes the special structure of a pool built for burial in order for it to not collapse when placing it into the ground and backfilling.

Will amp blow out if connecting the ground wire to the power wire while connected to amp?

Since the resulting short circuit would be outside the amp, it WOULD NOT blow the amp.

Do you connect the ground cable from your car to the ground cable from your stereo or connect the ground caple from the stereo to metal in your car and leave the other wire loose?

If your connecting a stereo, it's always best to ground directly to the negative side of the battery: however you can connect to a ground under the dash also. Some autos have a ground block at the fuse panel that can also be used but you will need a spade connector. your cars body is the ground.connect the stereo ground to a metal part of the car, leave the battery connected to a ground, engine should also be connected to a ground

Is the black wire connected to the line or the grounded line when connecting a power cord to a motor?

Black is the hot side of the line, white the neutral side, green (or rarely bare) wire is the ground.

What is in a fire hose?

We commonly find water in fire hoses. The fire hose with its nozzle is used as a way to get water onto a fire. By connecting the hose to a pump, which is in turn connected to a water source, that hose will provide a high-pressure conduit for the transfer of the water. We also find fire hoses connected between different units to deliver water. If a truck sets up on the fire ground to deliver water, it is usually connected to a water source via an engine, which is connected to a hydrant. Hoses connect the hydrant to the engine, and the engine to the truck to transfer water.

Why don basketball backboards break anymore?

It's because of the backboard and the bottom bar connected to the ground so when tension is put on the rim all the pressure is going to the bar touching the ground and not the back board

How do you wire a wire to a wire?

If you are connecting 120 volts, you connect the black wire to the breaker, white wire to the neutral bar, and ground wire to the ground bar. If you are connecting 240 volts connect the black & white wires to the breaker, & ground wire to the ground bar.
