Nobody knows this, although some people try to guess or make up stories about it. What we know for sure is that they met somewhere probably not far from Stratford (since she was from the nearby settlement of Shottery) between 1564 and September of 1582.

What did anne hathaway do for a living 16th century?

The 16th century Anne Hathaway (who lived well into the 17th century) was the wife of William Shakespeare the famous playwright and poet. While Shakespeare was living and working in London, Anne was living in Stratford, where their home was, looking after the children, keeping the house and trying to make ends meet. Early in Shakespeare's career, when he was struggling to earn a living, this must have been a difficult job. Later he was making more money and more steadily, and bought them a huge new house (called New Place) in Stratford. Of course looking after the big house was just that much more work for Anne. It is possible that Anne also supplemented William's income with cottage industries as many wives did, but we have no direct evidence of this.

What is Anne Hathaway doing now?

Shakespeare left an his second best bed. Some people have read that as an insult. Others speculate that that was their wedding bed, or that it was her bed, inherited from her side of the family which she brought to the marriage.

Did Queen Elizabeth meet William Shakespeare?

They almost certainly met as he both wrote and performed plays for her at her palace. There is however no record of a meeting and it is possible she did not consider meeting with the entertainment. So the answer is unknown.

Where did Anne Hathaway and William Shakespeare meet?

We don't know where they met since nobody kept records of that sort of thing. Anne was 26, and he was only 18. We assume that they married due to the pregnancy.

When did Anne and Shakespeare meet?

"The hamlet of Shottery was only a mile from the town of Stratford where William Shakespeare lived with his family. Anne Hathaway would have often visited the town and would have therefore had the opportunity to meet William Shakespeare. At this time Anne would have been 26 and William 18. A considerable age difference, with William Shakespeare still under the age of consent (21). It is apparent that Anne Hathaway became pregnant prior to marriage which would have no doubt caused a scandal for both of the families. Not an auspicious start for a marriage or a perfect choice of a wife for the son of an ambitious family. William Shakespeare's father John, in particular, would not have been pleased at the detrimental effect that the gossip would have had on his own social standing in Stratford. A hasty affair would have been arranged."

When did william shakespeare first start dating Anne Hathaway?

We have no evidence whatsoever about this. They may not have "dated" in the sense that they planned to meet and go to a show or dinner together--it may have been a question of meeting and chatting and getting friendly at some harvest home festival or wedding or church service or other similar gathering of people.
