13-15 do it flirty. Ya know, passing a note or getting on IM and sending him the message, getting a friend to tell him, etc.
16+ drop him hints. give him a couple weeks to notice, if he doesn't notice then you'll have to tell him directly. Be careful though. Dating a friend could ruin the friendship.
