It would only change the volume. This is because volume is how much room an object takes up, and crushing the car will make volume smaller. Mass is how much "stuff" an object is made of. So unless like, the bumper falls of, mass stays the same. weight = mass x gravity so this wouldn't change either.

Answer: No. the mass would stay the same. there is nothing being added or taken away from the weight. the density of the car will change obviously. You could look at it like this, which weighs more, a hundred pounds of feathers, or a hundred pounds of Bowling balls. each weighs the same, its just the volume that is different

Answer: There can only be a change in mass if mass is added from the outside, or taken away (to the outside).

No. All the mass that was in the car originally is still there; it is just more densely packed.

If a car was crushed into a cube which would change mass or volume and why?

What happens to the volume of a loaf of bread that is squeezed?

Of course. Like anything, when bread is crushed, its density increases. Anything that is crushed will have higher density in its crushed state. The only things that you can crush and NOT (permamently) increase their density are those that return to their original shape after being crushed. The increase in density is due to the fact that there is more bread in a smaller volume. When you squeeze the bread, you squeeze out some of the air, reducing its volume while maintaining its mass. Density = mass/volume.

What is the percentage formula for change in volume?

Percentage change in volume= Change in volume/intial volume X 100

Is volume a physical or a chemical change?

Volume is a physical quantity not a change. However CHANGE in volume is a physical change.

When a junk car is crashed into a compact cube does it changed the mass volume and the weight?

The mass and weight are unchanged. The volume is reduced.

How does density change with different objects?

The density changes with different objects as all have different mass and volume(the space an object occupies) and the more compressed(Compact) the object is the more density it has.

Why hydraulic oil incompressible?

it is the property of the liquids. all the liquids are incompressible. this is because the change in volume due to pressure is negligible for liquids. in liquids the molecules are almost compact and hence no space for compression.

How can you change the density of an object and affect its buoyancy?

-- Change its mass and weight. Fill any holes inside the object, or carve out new holes inside it. -- Change its volume. Form it into a new shape, like a cup, that displaces much more water than the compact lump does.

Why doesn't liquid change its volume?

No it doesn't change its volume

Why do solids not change their volume?

it cannot change its volume because it has a definite shape and the electrons are tightly packed but it can change its volume when there is a slight change in temperature.

How do the three phases of matter compare to each volume?

Generally the solid phase is more compact.
