answer to vague question. . if the frame well you are talking about is the one i belive it is it is a normal function of the convertible top drainage system on the car.\n. … \nas long as there is no water in the floorboards or in the trunk and you dont hear any sloshing when you drive it is functioning properly.\n. \nin your top basin/holder for the convertible top when it is down is a large pan which has 2 drains to allow water to drain into the frame on each side of the vehicle. also the backside of the top and any other hard to seal areas drain into this area to prevent your interior from getting flooded.\n. \nif you hear a sloshing noise when you turn you need to unglog these.\n. \nthese normally clog up in high humidity conditions or when traveling from a desert/low humidity to a high humidity environment, and have to be cleaned out with a stiff straight piece of wire (ie clotheshanger). there are several points on the underbody that you have to unclog along the strip of metal where the visible body and the underbody come together. they are identifyable by running your hand along the backside of this strip and feeling for a little outward molded piece on the strip. there are 3-4 of these. insert your stiff wire into each hole until they drain the water.\n. \ncheck these often after rainstorms to be sure they are draining, you dont want a rusted out piece of metal on your car and if they are holding water it will rust out eventually or even worse, flood your entire floorboard.
Would water tube cause leak and water to run down trans looks like its coming from behind bottom radiator hose from the engine 93 Chrysler lebaron?
Yes, it could be the pipe that runs between the heads.
The heater coil is defective My 99 convertible did this, fried my amp under the seat and blew my speakers and stereo. the problem ended up being that the weep holes in the… body under the rockers were pinched shut. I had recently had the fender replaced and the weep hole was right where the jack goes. Took a screw driver and opened them back up.
buy a replacement plug and look closely at the threads .. that will allow you figure out what position to place it at in order to pull it out and replace it with a brand new o…ne ... which is what your should do ...
Heater core is shot, its monted on the firewall behind center console/instrument cluster. When turning on heater fan, will dischrge coolant out of the vent. Replace heater cor…e to resolve the leak
Water pump is leaking - do you need to put coolant directly in the radiator or can you just fill the reservoir?
Fill both, but only remove the radiator cap when the engine has completely cooled off. Obviously have the water pump repaired as soon as possible.
Yes, it is next to a bolt on the housing the radiator hose attachesto.
Pour mix of 50/50 coolant and water into the reservoir until it's at the cold level. Close the cap and start the engine with the heater on to the highest setting. Wait till th…e engine reaches normal operating temperature then turn it off. Wait till engine cools and check the coolant level and add more coolant as needed to bring it up to the cold level.
The weep hole is next to the housing where the lower radiator hoseattaches to the engine.
How do you repair a water leaking into the trunk of a 2005 Chrysler Sebring convertible when it rains?
If it is leaking through the crack next to the soft/hard top just put some sealant there and it should be fine.
Is 91 buick park avenue ok to drive to mechanic with leaking water pump i have heat and theres no over heating just after a hour of driving you have to fill radiator with water antifreeze?
yes i made it
It requires a 50/50 mix of water and antifreeze.
The water neck just under the edge of the upper intake. If it's leaking, you'll see crusty deposits there.
Just for clarification, the radiator is inaccessible for filling in a Chrysler Sebring. For adding coolant/water, use the coolant overflow reservoir located on the passeng…er side of the engine just above the wheel. You should see the silver lid with the writing DO NOT OPEN WHILE HOT warning stamped on it. The reservoir is white translucent with a Cold Fill Max line on the side facing the motor. This is the line you will use as a reference when filling. If you cannot see this line due to grime/dirt, wipe away the grime/dirt so you can. DO NOT fill the reservoir while the engine is hot! Fill the reservoir when the engine is cold (first thing in the morning, before starting engine), up to the line. Use a 50/50 mix (50% distilled water, 50% coolant) to fill. If using water, as you have asked, use distilled water. Non-distilled water will form deposits in the engine which might cause problems later in the life of the car. Lastly, if you decide to use a coolant mixture, be sure to use HOAT (Hybrid Organic Acid Technology) coolant or equivalent ONLY! DO NOT mix green coolant! If you do mix them accidentally, you could run the chance of causing the coolant to clump which will lead to either expensive repairs (radiator and/or heater core replacements) or engine failure due to overheating. I recommend using either the Chrysler recommended Mopar coolant from the dealership, or Prestone Extended Life (50/50 premixed) which can be bought from any major automotive parts outlet. Walmart also carries Prestone Extended Life 50/50 premixed.
Water pump gasket, head gasket, water tube,
The alternator is driven by the serpentine belt. Follow the belt around the engine and you will find the alternator.
