Beethoven wrote his fifth symphony in C minor (Opus 67) in 1809. It became popular since for two principal reasons. It starts from the dark key in c minor and ends in triumphant parallel major key depicting his own life towards a reputed composer from hearing struggles: some critics compare it to his autobiography. Moreover, Beethoven introduced the piccolo Flute, trombones and double-bassoon to the concert orchestra in this work for the first time in music history.

It is doubtful that Beethoven would have been a better composer had he not become deaf. His encroaching deafness gave a new passion to his music as he struggled to deal with such a terrible situation.
that he become a famous piano player although he was deaf
Beethoven was most influenced to become a composer by the music of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. Later, Josef Haydn also played a major part.
Beethoven was not born blind; nor did he become blind. Beethoven became deaf in his late twenties.
Johann Sebastion Bach became increasingly blind towards the end of his life. Apparently, whilst suffering from seriously impaired vision, he dictated the scores of his final works and revisions to one of his colleagues to write for him. Maria Theresa von Paradis, 1759-1824, had an accident causing total blindness when she was just four years old. Born in Vienna, she was a friend of Mozart. She sang opera at an early age, and composed a number of operas, and classical works, working entirely from memory and faultlessly dictating the scores, without the need for revisions. There are other, more recent, 'classsical composers' who were also blind, but Bach and von Paradis are probably the most well known.See Related Links for more information.
Beethoven was a child prodigy on the piano. His father exploited him, hoping to become rich as Mozart's father had done. He gradually gave up performing as his deafness made it increasingly difficult.
Beethoven was neither rich nor poor when he died. However, throughout his life, he was often in financial trouble, and said that, after taking care of his brother (who had tuberculosis) he was penniless.
