Rhythm, tympani, myth, synthesize, and many more. Also, many words that end in y. Happy, fly, properly. All of these that end in y, y functions as a vowel. (I am honestly not sure about words like "may", "day", "play" would that be a dipthong vowel?) English is a vowel/consonant spoken language. If y follows a consonant, chances are it is a vowel. This is not always true, as in "lanyard", it is a consonant. Whenever it sounds like the "y" in the word "you", it is a consonant.
