After you pay the fine will you have more or less left to pay your doctor?
The immediate hit will be increased taxes for several years while they set up the death panels that have been assigned to figure out cost verses benefit for what they call "quality of life years". These taxes will be enforced by 16000 additional IRS agents.
Failing to pay will result in a lien against your property. Thee is also the immediate loss of $500 billion to Medicare so rationing will begin in the area of elderly and handicap care.
Many doctors will retire due to the caps that have been promised. Fewer students will enter the field and fewer doctors will come from other countries.
Health insurance rates will skyrocket. The one benefit will be an uprising against the current members of Congress and the Administration probably effectivly killing the Democratic party.

Why would insurance companies disagree with universal health care?
Universal health care would mean that a person that does not have a great deal of money to spare, would then not have to give it to an insurance company just in case they get sick. At present the insurance industry has every one over a barrel. they not only control enormous amounts of money, but they also control the actual quality if health care with their economics as the criterion. In other words you have to go with them to get health care but they also control the quality of the care you get. If they have to compete with a scheme that is essentially free to the man in the street, they stand to lose a lot of money. they stand to lose control of the cost structure involved in treatment leading to better o utcomes for the patient in many case's.
