the negative effects of the Manhattan project are very severe. due to the a-bomb testing, the area around the site, to this day, is still too contaminated to support human life.
the rain that happened after each explosion, due to the intense heat and pressure, carried contaminants into rivers and streams that then deposited them into the ocean or lakes.
in the environment around the test site, the radioactive particles have made it impossible for any plant life or animal life to survive anywhere near it.
the effects affected the humans living just a few cities over, causing health problems, sometimes fatal.
this event shows similar signs as to the accident in Chernobyl, except for the fact that Chernobyl was an accident, and this was on purpose. though no one was intentionally hurt, the area cause much devastation and unhealthiness for anyone near it,
