What are pitbulls used for?

Pitbulls were born between mixing of bulldogs and terrier type of dogs. The early breeders were trying to breed a dog that was strong as a bulldog and agile as a terrier. Also terriers are known for having lot of courage and determination.

In my opinion Pit Bulls should be kept as pets and loving, loyal companions. They can be used as therapy dogs, rescue dogs, They can be trained for agility courses.
They are smart, gentle, loving dogs! great choice for a pet!

Pit bulls were meant for strong, loving, hardworking, farm dogs. Not fighting machines!

...Originally yes they were bred for fighting in pits hence the name "Pit Bull".

They were not just used for this though, other jobs could be something like aggressively hunting down vermin.
