What were mishaps the US government made?

The US Government has screwed up in more ways than they will ever tell us. For instance one of the most publicly accused screw ups was The Vietnam War. We lost.

Also. The most failed military operation ever instigated by the united states government was operation Market Garden in WWII.

Other mishaps may include the fact that though we condemned Adolf Hitlers actions we also did some of the same things he did years later. From the early sixties to around nineteen eighty the US government forced the sterilization of thousands of Black, Retarted, and Handicapped people. You wont find them telling you that in the history books.

The history books are written by the United States government and are therefore what i like to refer to as His Story. Its written to make the US sound good. About the only screw up they openly admit to in history books is slavery and segregation and that's just because its so in the open they cant deny it.

Also for instance. George Washington. Americas hero. Great general against the british. Brave man. Long time president.

What actually occured was. Washington lost almost every battle he went in to. In fact i believe he did lose every one. He ran away from a few. And was basically elected president because all the more able generals had been killed by the red coats.

We never actually won a fight in the revolutionary war against british trained red coats. Only ones what were trained in Canada.
