What was the purpose of the Fourth Amendment?
It protects Americans from unreasonable search and seizure. Authorities weren't able to go into your home or email account and look through your things without a court order, sadly this concept is gone because of the Patriot Act.

Answer . To make sure people of America have equal rights. . Answer An amendment to the Constitution is a change that can add to the Constitution or change an older part of… it. An amendment can even overturn a previous amendment, as the 21st did to the 18th(prohibition). There are a few methods to amend the Constitution, but the most common is to pass an amendment through the Congress, on a two-thirds vote. After that, the amendment goes to the states, and if three-quarters of the states pass the amendment, it is considered a part of the Constitution - it has been ratified. An amendment does not have anything to do with equality. The rights spelled out by the constitution are only the reaffirmation, and legal definitions of certain rights.
