[1960] 18 oz, 27 centsA newspaper in New Jersey compared the price of a 12-ounce box of Kellogg's Corn Flakes through the years. In 1955, you could pick up a box for 19 cents. In 1973, that same box of corn flakes would have cost you a quarter. Jump forward to 1984 when the price was 89 cents. Today, that same 12-ounce box of corn flakes will set you back $2.99.
Really, it depends, but I get mine at either Lucky's or Safeway. The average cost is about $3.99. Plus, I get like a discount because I am a Club Card Member at both stores.
That depends on the purity and weight of the flakes.
It cost about 5$
There WAS no laundry detergent in 1910. To wash your clothes, you used flakes of soap (and you probably made the flakes by grating a hard bar of soap). This did a poor job. In 1933, Dreft detergent was marketed for the first time (a detergent, not a soap) but it did not work well on heavy stains. In 1943, Tide detergent entered the market- and is still around- improved a reported 21 times since then. But in 1910, drag out the soap and the grater.
Try contacting Kellogg's. Most companies are more than happy to help with education and you may get some free product out of it too.
