A Thermometer is a Closed System.

As from definition any system which can release and except energy but no reduction or increment of mass, is called a closed system.

A thermometer can only take and release energy or heat. But no Mercury vapor comes out from it and neither can we insert any thing.

A thermometer is a closed system because no mass enters or exits the thermometer, but energy can cross the system boundaries. If mass crosses the boundaries the system is "open" (and the thermometer is apparently broken). If no energy crosses the boundary, the system is "isolated" - but then the thermometer wouldn't be of much use would it?

Is the heat supplied to a system always equal to the increase in its internal energywhat thermodynamic variable is defined by zeroth law and first law of thermodynamic?

The heat supplied to a system can increase its internal energy if no work is extracted from the system. If any work is done by the system, then the increase in internal energy will be less than the heat supplied to the system. The thermodynamic variable defined by the zeroeth law is Temperature.

Can you use thermodynamic in a sentence?
