it grows fine in the worst dirt you can find, better dirt better plant. answer to second answer. it takes a couple of years to flower. for root sprouts, where do you live. six hours of sun a day.

Hi.....I have an Aloe Plant myself and have it planted in Miracle Grow soil....the kind with the fertilizer in it. After three months tho you have to be sure to add fertilizer to the plant soil. .....I am trying to figure out why mine doesn't have any of the baby aloe sprouts on the bottom of the plant...hmmmm...but it is growing nicely and is huge now...I hope this helps you some and have a blessed day 8D
