Anything larger is cumbersome, but can be formed by using a "prefix" numeral:

5000 = VM

6479 = VIMCDLXXIX

Also putting a line over a number would indicate that number being multiplied by one thousand.

I am assuming that Wiki has changed 'I' into 'You' in the question, so the Roman numeral I = 1. But just in case you mean U, the Romans used the Letter V to represent the modern letter U and they also used the symbol V to represent 5 in numerals.
