It is likely that Word thinks the text of your document is a different language than what you think it is. Open the document that has this problem, press Ctrl+A to select all of the text, click on "Tools" then "Language" then "Set Language" then choose your language, un-check the "Detect language automatically" and "Do not check spelling or grammar" boxes. Then click OK. Click F7 to re-run the spelling and grammar checks.

Note that you misspelled two words just in asking that question (it's grammar, not grammer, and checks, not cheks) so the usefulness of a spell check mechanism should be apparent.
One can find a free spelling check service from a website that offer spell checks, grammar error checks for free. These sites use applications that check your documents or contents for misspelled or wrong usage of words or sentences. It then displays different ways of correcting them.
Revision proceeds editing. At this stage the author rewords the given current document so that it is easier to read, makes more sense, more clearly portrays their thoughts etc. The author makes sure that the overall document is in sync with the given thesis, its structure is satisfactory and there are no unsupported assertions or incongruent facts, etc. Editing is the final stage in writing. The author/editor checks for spelling, grammar, consistent writing style, incorrect data or word usage etc.
Sort of, but not really. The computer can only detect very obvious spelling mistakes. But, say you misstype "I'll sea you tomorrow" instead of "I'll see you tomorrow"--the computer won't catch mistakes like that because both "sea" and "see" are real words. Grammar checkers should generally be avoided; you run the risk of introducing errors into your document if you rely on them much, if at all.
