The choice of connector is defined by the connectors on the DVD player and the TV. However, if you have a selection of connectors on each this is the preferred order to deliver the best quality: HDMI - a digital video and audio signal in a single cable (supports HD and SD) DVI - the same video signal as HDMI but you will need to add a separate audio cable as DVI carries no audio. (also supports HD, SD and other computer resolutions) Analogue component - normally three phono connectors on domestic equipment (SD only in almost all cases) RGB - May appear as 3 or 4 phono sockets or as a 15 pin D connector as found on VGA displays. (support for signals as chosen by the display manufacturer) S-Video - a small 4 pin round connector or two phonos. (SD only) Composite - A single phono and the lowest quality of all the interfaces. (SD only) Note also that in Europe, component, RGB, S-video and composite can all be carried on a scart connector which also carried audio and signalling lines. The signal interfaces remain identical regardless of whether the display is progressive or interlaced by the way. Most broadcast media is interlaced while most computer signals are progressive. The display will carry out whatever conversion is required automatically.

How do you connect wires to car battery?

Well they should have connectors on them, if they dont then i would advise you get a mechanic to do them since you seem unfarmiliar with the process. If they do have connectors on them (they most likely do, or there would be no way to connect them) then just connect them this way: Put on the negative and screw it down, then put on the positive and do the same. Its not going to shock you if you only touch on of the connectors at a time. Also make sure, not to touch the car (like leaning on it) while you are touching the positive (red) connector or you could get shocked.

What happens when the car battery connectors connect together?

When a car battery in connected to itself (i.e. You connect jumper cables onto a battery and then connect the other two connectors to each other), you create a continual circuit with the battery and nothing else. A similar effect is when you hold a 9 Volt battery to your tongue and you feel a small but continual "zap". Imagine this effect, but much greater. Sparks will appear when the connectors are first connected. Warning: Do not do this. This will damage your car battery. The only reason you should connect a car battery through jumper cables is to connect it to another car's battery in order to "jump" a car.
