What should you do if you have a bathroom lavatory in which the hot pipe vibrates after the hot water has been running for about 45 seconds?
Check the angle stop or cut off as some people call it. If it is not turned on all the way, the pipes will hammer or vibrate. This is the supply line to the lavatory I'm talking about.

Answer . \nIt's called water-hammer. I vibration from the water pressure. A snub-end pipe can be added to devert the vibration.
Vent, return circulation
Yes you need to shut off the Main water valve. Usually found in the basement or outside the house near the meter. Also you need to shut off the Gas valve located at the water …heater, or the Breaker located in the breaker box/ fuse panel. Sometimes the water heater will have its own Switch box, located on the power wire
Generally, hot water pipe diameters are 22mm or 0.866 inches
air in the line open all the facets run the water for at least 10 minutes you should be ok after that.
possible blockage in the line, full break in line, debris in valves
ive been a plumber 16 years , so to make it simple, 1st if its new construction, it is because the plumber didnt wipe the flux off of the pipes, and so forth causes a green fi…lm in what is called OXIDATION, this can be detremental to your pipes , big time. so wipr the pipes with warm water and a mild soap.. 2nd scenario , it to where the pipes have made contact with another metal i.e. a screw or a nail.. So in a way to say without having a service plumber. come tell ya ya it will be 1000 ish bucks , and ya think !#$&$!. get a flash light serarch near the areas before and after ya seen the green , look for a forieghn metal touching it some where, move it away use black electrical tape to keep it the heck from making contact. INOTHERWORDS insulate it from the steel, aluminum , iron especially.. then wipe with a abraisive dish sponge , with warm water and soap, or steel wool, then wipe to a dry. in a nut shell you can do it solo , and save big $$$ .Jason Romero(=. times are tough at the moment. in a nut shell you just saved $'s by wiki...... brass is the only safe metal to make contact with copper
When your faucets are off, the water is sitting still. As soon as you open a faucet, water starts flowing out due to the pressure created by your water pump. Whenever you turn… the water faucet off, the water supply is cut at the spigot and now all that water that was moving has now stopped, suddenly. Sometimes, when the pressure is too high, it can cause what is called water hammer . Water hammer is when a faucet is turned off, a shockwave is sent through the pipes, vibrating them sometimes throughout the entire house.
Yes , a major problem with fiberglass
First you open the a facet to allow any water to flow, or pressure to relive. With a propane type torch heat the pipe until water flows, being careful of the flame not to burn… the place down. If you have access to a arc welder, they can also be used, by clamping the stinger and ground to the pipe apart from each other, and turning the welder on. A car battery and jumper cables also will work, hook up as you would the welder, connecting the ground of the battery to the pipe as the last connection. All methods need some sort of care to make sure nothing goes wrong. The battery is the safest, but you only have the charge in the battery to work with.
Yes. It connects to the inside of the tank, where the hot water is. Heat from the hot water will heat the vent pipe by conduction. The top end should be much warmer than the b…ottom end, near the floor or outlet.
Go from the top of your hot water tank and make your line go to every fixture and after last fixture go back to the tank and connect back into pump, make sure you install a ch…eck valve on line at pump
Install anti-hammer arrestor in hot water line at tub. It should help.
Air in the pipes from a hole, break or crack somewhere along the line, or from a loose fitting or valve near or at the water heater; possibly caused by a mineral or debris- cl…ogged filter screen at the faucet or discharge end.
Why do the pipes vibrate loud when you turn the hot water on but only in one bathroom and only the sink?
The hot water pipe is not clamped properly. When the water flows through the pipe when you open the faucet, the turbulence makes the pipe move and bang against what ever it is… not clamped to properly.
