well most homes should have 60 to 80 psi. If you have a well and you only have a two story home then I would set the pump pressure to 60 psi, if you have city water and your pressure is above 80 , I would recommend installing a pressure reducer valve with shut offs on both sides so a person can service it in the future.

Depends on the fixture demand and the height and the velocity and of course if your feeding a hydronic boiler then 12 -15 PSI is the average
