∙ 9y ago13 year old kids are at that age where they are not into kiddie movies anymore. They like to see more grown up programming. Some good movies they can watch are " The Goonies", "Twilight", or the new movie coming out "Echo". The super hero movies tend to grab their attention too.

∙ 12y agoOk if you have not seen a scary movie before you should pobably watch "The Others" it is not too scary I watched it when I was about ten so its not too bad but it is about ghosts so if you do not like ghosts then I would not recommend it.
I think a 13 year old girl who has never seen a scary movie before should first watch a scary movie that isn't too scary.I liek the movie "the wrong turn" it is one of those movies that you say go go go on.Liek if they are being chased and fall for instence

I am 12 and I have recently began watching scary movies.
I started with M. Night Shyamalan movies. They are more suspense but they will get you ready.
I do not recommend The Village. It is boring. Try The Sixth Sense. It is one of my favourite movies of all time.

i reccoment the hitcher. its not that scary just sad. but if you do not Ike blood that very much try something else. don't watch the grudge unless you've been through lots of scary movies and they don't scare you anymore. its really scary. hills have eyes is not scary, just disgusting, so if you like grose scary movies, watch the hills have eys. its a lot of bloody gushings

If I were you I would start with something simple with a few scary parts...I watched The Poltergeist when I was 8 or 9 and there was like one scary part. I watched The Shining and that had a little more scary parts. Just keep gaining the amount of scary parts in a movie and then you can watch anyone!

∙ 14y agoTypically there's not a lot of "scary movies" for 11 year olds, but there is some. If you really want to watch something really scary, then watch The Sixth Sense (I watched it when I was 11, and couldn't get to sleep), Friday the 13th, and Nightmare on Elm Street.

Well, kids shouldn't watch scary movies at all. It depends on how old the kids you're talking about is. If the kid is old enough to understand that scary movies are NOT real, then I guess I would recommend some old horror movies that aren't too violent and scary. NOTHING at all like Friday the 13th, ESPECIALLY A Nightmare on Elm Street, the Halloween movies, etc. Probably something black and white or something not TOO scary, for we are talking about kids. However, if they do understand horror movies aren't real and/or become teenagers, I'd try to let them watch something more scary, like one of the movies I already mentioned. I hope this helps :o) PS. Here, I'll list a few movies that might be kid appropriate if they believe horror movies aren't real and want something not too scary: (Minor ghost movies) Wolfman might be good (No, not the remake, probably too violent) Dracula movies Anything black and white The House on the Cemetery (This movie is alright, but not too suitable for minors...) Maybe Carnival of Souls (Once again, not the remake. But maybe the remake would be alright...) Whatever else you think isn't too violent~
