The pitch is determined by the frequency of the wave.
The absolute loudness is determined by the wave's amplitude.
The loudness perceived by the ear is affected by both the above, because the sensitivity of the ear is frequency dependent.
The frequency. The word "pitch" is used specifically for sound.
Pitch, perceived frequency (almost), can be affected by physical and psychological variables. But cycles per second (frequency) is the basic variable for pitch.
The pitch of a sound is determined by its frequency, which is related to its wavelength. A higher frequency relates to a higher pitch. For example, the frequency of the sound from a typical "A" tuning fork is 440 hertz.
When experiencing the Doppler effect, such as when a train passes you while its whistle is blowing, with respect to you the wavelength of the sound from the approaching train is compressed shorter, and after the train passes the wavelength is stretched longer from your perspective. Since wavelength and frequency are inversely proportional (when one gets bigger the other proportionally get smaller), you hear the whistle at a higher pitch when the train is approaching you and at a lower pitch when it is moving away from you.
Frequency (measured in Hertz, which is cycles per second). Higher frequency, or more cycles (or oscillations) per second, will sound as a higher pitch.

Loud
soft
If naturally you're soft, then no, if naturally your loud, then yes.
When you bang something soft the sound will be soft and when you bang something hard the sound will be loud. The same with talking, if you talk loudly the sound will be loud and when you talk quietly the sound will be soft.

loud sound- a dog barking soft sound- the turning of a book page

SOFT
It determines how loud or soft the sound is.
