There are several programs that will do this: Microsoft Word and WordPad among others.
I used the free Open Office, which is similar to Word:

∙ 14y agoMost use Microsoft Word, as it's included in many retail PCs (Wordpad too). OpenOffice, Corel WordPerfect and IBM/Lotus Wordpro work as well.
