Bluff Hill In Napier is famous for its product 'Bluff oysters'
Refer to Act II, Scene II (361-362): "when the wind is southerly I know a hawk from a handsaw"
The best place for oysters that I know is a little town near Port Lincoln in South Australai called Coffin Bay. Extremely large oysters with a magnificant taste, but only if your are willing to travel to get them. Hope it helps!
Yes but I do not know why
I know of no special name for southerly flowing streams. 'Draining in a southerly direction' would perhaps be a description.
I have seen huge Aboriginal middens in coastal South Australia which are mainly made up of cockle and oyster shells. Obviously these shellfish were a recognised part of the local peoples' diet. Who can possibly tell when people decided that oysters were a food source when they would have tried anything...... Maybe oysters know. But they're not saying> Macro
Mostly none of people know but they are: Tierra Del Fuego Island Horn Island Falkland Island
Yes there are but I don't know where they are.
Only in the South Island but you know what a bunch of spoilsports they are.
