A smartphone is an electronic hand-held device that integrates the functionality of a mobile phone, personal digital assistant (PDA) or other information appliance. Some mo…bile phones double as a miniature PC. Because these phones offer advanced features not typically found in mobile phones, they are sometimes called a smartphone. The features can include Web and email access, special software such as personal organizations or special hardware such as digital cameras or music players. Some models, e.g. a BlackBerry, even contain a miniature "QWERTY" keyboard.

A smart phone is a phone that can do "beyond" what regular phonesdo. a smart phone can browse the web virtually anywhere! forinstance you could go on face book anytime you wou…ld like. the maindifferences between a regular phone and a smart phone is: 1-usuallysmartphones are more big as in the screen area. the regular phonehas a smaller area in the screen. 2- smartphones usually have aweather box across the near-top screen. 3-like the droid, some havesearch bars across the top of the screen that search in google.4-most smartphones have apps (applications) aka games or the appstore where you can browse the largest selection of apps. 5-somecontain a signal type bars at the top near the carrier like theiphone 4 by apple. signal bars are near the search bar (for thedroid) on the status bar: the thick line of little-like icons thattell you what is on for instance bluetooth. signal bars are barsthat tell you how much service you have. Well smartphones are like the next generation of phones. In the past the old 'brick' Nokia could only program calls, texts and some old games(Bounce was a good one :D). Smartp…hones now a days can do a lot more than call, you can use high quality cameras, a range of applications etc. This has made the life of many people much easier than it was before.

Your question is unclear, but to attempt an answer, people use the internet and smartphone to connect with each other, gain information and stay informed about what is going o…n in the world.
It's no longer a matter if they 'should', it's a social realitythat they do - as does practically everyone else on theplanet, including the citizens of inner Rwanda and Mong…olia. Youngpeople not owning a smartphone these days run the risk of becominga social outcast among their peers. And from a practical point ofview: they keep in contact with each other mostly by means of asmartphone. If you don't have one, you're out of the loop, so tospeak. People today are - and are expected to be - online 24/7. It wouldbe a good idea (and good for your eyes, too) to regularly lookaround you and view the world as it is, and not only through a tinyscreen at a few inches' distance. If you are a parent, your bestbet is to make a deal with them about 'off line'-hours each day.
