It is called the lumbar region because of the region of the spine which supports it. The organs unique to the right hand side of the abdomen are the liver and gallbladder. The other organs that are present are the right kidney, and part of the ascending colon.
There are three organs found in the right lumbar region of the human body. These are the gallbladder, the right colon and the liver.
