do not wash the area.

do not put any thing on the area such as oitment, cream or lotions.

cover loose dressing so it wont stick in the area to avoid infection.

ask for help bring the patient to the hospital as soon you 've done the first aid

Don't use ice as it could cause more damage to the skin. Don't cover the burnt area with anything sticky. Don't burst any blisters.

Generally Scalds and Burns both are caused due to exposure to excessive heat. Scald is caused due to something wet material which is very hot (hot coffee or steam) and Skin Burn is caused by Dry heat (when you accidentally touches any hot material like Hot container).

Don'ts for scalds and Burns :-

  • If after burn any cloth has stuck to your skin, don't immediately peel it off.
  • Don't apply any ointment, cream, ice or powder to the affected area.
  • Please don't scratch any Blister.
