Most motorcycles are air cooled not water cooled. But few are water cooled and any antifreeze can be mixed with water. Not true. Most water cooled motorcycles require special coolant. It is best to not automobile coolant because they contain "scrubber" agents to keep the cooling system clean. These additives can wear out pump seals, gaskets, and aluminum parts.
dex-cool antifreeze is what came from the factory.
Autozone/ advanced auto usually has antifreeze that goes with either kind. I suggest that.

Any antifreeze that doesn't contain nitrates or phosphates (which can corrode the metal and break down rubber seals in your system) can be used. Many regular automotive brands will state if their product is safe for motorcycles. If it doesn't, don't use it. You can also play it safe and get motorcycle antifreeze at your local bike shop. There are a few exceptions with some of the big bucks foreign bikes. Follow your owners manual to always be sure.
