The exact same thing has been happening to my Corsica for a little while now. I just took it into the shop yesterday and today they told me that the trans fluid was dirty, air-filter dirty, cracked water pump (my car was leaking anti-freeze). I don't know exactly what has caused it, but this is what the mechanic told me.
